12/14/14 - S Chris Banjo was signed by the Packers from their practice squad Saturday (Dec. 13). Banjo, a 5-foot-10, 207-pound second-year player out of SMU, was originally signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as a non-drafted free agent on April 19, 2013. After being waived by the Jaguars on July 25, 2013, he was signed by Green Bay and went on to appear in all 16 regular-season games with one start and the postseason contest as a rookie. Last season he finished second on the team with 10 special teams tackles. In 2014, Banjo was waived by the Packers following training camp and has spent the regular season on Green Bay's practice squad.
02/28/14 - S Chris Banjo was re-signed by the Packers. Banjo appeared in all 16 games with one start in 2013. He posted 15 tackles and a pass defensed, in addition to ranking second on the club with 10 coverage tackles on special teams. He was scheduled to become an exclusive-rights free agent March 11.
07/29/13 - S Chris Banjo and wide receiver Omarius Hines were signed by the Green Bay Packers, who waived safety Ryan McMahon.
Banjo is a 5-foot-10, 207-pound rookie out of Southern Methodist University who signed with Jacksonville as a free agent in April before being waived July 25.
