08/08/12 - WR Greg Childs cleared waivers Tuesday and was placed on the Browns' reserve/injured list.
08/06/12 - WR Greg Childs (knees) was waived/injured Monday. If he clears waivers Tuesday, he will be placed on erserve/injured.
08/05/12 - WR Greg Childs, who was becoming one of the top four receivers, is out for the season after tearing the patellar tendons in both knees on the second-to-last play of Saturday night's scrimmage.
Childs fell to the fourth round because he tore the patellar tendon in his right knee as a junior at Arkansas and never fully recovered during his senior season. Childs wasn't hit on the play. He just came down awkwardly in the end zone.
08/05/12 - WR Greg Childs (knee) appeared to injure his right knee on the second-to-last play of a night scrimmage on Aug. 4. It's the same knee in which Childs suffered a torn patellar tendon in as a junior at Arkansas. The injury slowed Childs as a senior and was the reason he fell to the Vikings in the fourth round. The extent of his latest injury was being determined and will be updated when the team returns to practice on Monday.
