Draft Scout Marcus Cooper News
01/02/17 - CB Marcus Cooper, a Pro Bowl alternate, received high praise from coach Bruce Arians a day after the season ended. When asked whether he felt good about the team's depth at the position and whether the Cardinals needed to use a high draft pick to find a suitable starter opposite Patrick Peterson, he said no.
"Marcus should've had another interception yesterday. He got Pro Bowl nominations so that's pretty damn good," Arians said. "I don't know if you can get better unless you're a starter in the Pro Bowl. Brandon (Williams) is going to be a hell of a player. I think we have more than enough guys back there."
12/30/16 - CB Marcus Cooper (back/calf) is questionable for Sunday.
12/19/16 - CB Marcus Cooper, who's been getting the majority of playing time opposite Patrick Peterson, left Sunday's game with a nagging back injury and did not return. Coach Bruce Arians said Cooper is still dealing with the back issue and wouldn't know the player's status for another day or two.
09/19/16 - CB Marcus Cooper on being traded by the Chiefs to the Cardinals two weeks before the start of this season: "I looked at it as a blessing. This was a great defense with All-Pros everywhere. It was a better situation for me, so I was happy. To be able to come to a team that was stacked like this?"
