Draft Scout Quinton Coples News
09/30/13 - OLB Quinton Coples could be facing a fine from the NFL for the hit that injured Titans quarterback Jake Locker in the third quarter of the Titans' 38-13 win on Sunday. Locker was leveled by Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson and Coples hit him again as Locker fell to the ground with what proved to be a right hip injury. ESPN reported Monday that the NFL will review the play to see if either Coples or Wilkerson should be fined.

09/20/13 - OLB Quinton Coples (fractured right ankle) was once again a limited participant in practice on Thursday but looks likely to make his season debut for the Jets on Sunday. While Rex Ryan said it would be up to the trainers to decide if Coples plays, he has lauded Coples' toughness all week. Coples suffered the hairline fracture during the preseason game against the Jaguars on Aug. 17 and underwent surgery three days later.
09/20/13 - OLB Quinton Coples was deemed "100 percent" recovered from a hairline fracture in his ankle by head coach Rex Ryan and is listed as probable for the New York Jets on Sunday.
Coples injured his right ankle in a preseason game Aug. 17, which Ryan said at the time could hinder the second-year defender's progress moving from defensive end to outside linebacker.
"Pretty amazing," Ryan said. "I don't know what to say. I don't know how he's doing it, but he's done it. We'll see what he can do."
Coples could start against the Buffalo Bills but will be used in a rotation at outside linebacker, Ryan said.
