08/04/12 - WR David Douglas, an undrafted rookie free agent out of Arizona, has been turning some heads thus far in camp with his play. Showing an ability to separate, some nice breakaway speed, good hands and an ability to block downfield, Douglas drew unsolicited praise from head coach Tom Coughlin, who last week said, "David has had a heck of a preseason (so far)."
04/13/12 - Detroit hosted Arizona WR David Douglas for a pre-draft visit Wednesday, the team's website reported. The speedy receiver turned scouts' heads at Arizona's pro day by running a 4.45-second 40-yard dash. Douglas also turned in impressive performances in the 225-pound bench press drill (20 repetitions), and demonstrated his 37-inch vertical jump. He is projected as a potential late-round draft pick. - John Kreger, CBS Sports
03/20/12 - Arizona Pro Day: One sleeper prospect who may have earned himself a draftable grade based on his workout was wide receiver David Douglas. The 6-1, 205 pound Douglas was overshadowed throughout his career by Criner but timed faster (4.40-4.46) and surprised scouts with his crisp route-running and soft hands despite the ugly weather. "The other receiver was pretty good. He had a strong workout. He may have moved himself into the 7th round Monday." There were few big names among the scouts and coaches on hand for the workout. There were no general managers or head coaches present, though the Buffalo Bills' Director of Scouting Chuck Cook did attend. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
