04/17/13 - 2013 NFL DRAFT: 124 FBS PROGRAMS, 124 POSSIBLE UNDRAFTED ROOKIE FREE AGENTS: CINCINNATI: DE Dan Giordano (6-3, 260, 4.95)...A regular in the weight room, Giordano has athletic limitations, but plays with infectious energy and a relentless style of football that NFL coaches will love. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
12/27/12 - Scouting the Cincinnati run defense: The Bearcats allowed an average of 130.2 rushing yards per game with a total of nine rushing touchdowns in the regular season. LBs Greg Blair and Maalik Bomar key Cincinnati's run stoppage with a combined 198 tackles, including 11 for losses. The loss of DE Walter Stewart because of a season-ending injury was a concern for the Bearcats, but Dan Giordano and Nick Temple, who finished fourth on the team in tackles, stepped up their production. Brandon Mills starts in Stewart's place. - The Sports Xchange
12/10/12 - 2012 ALL-BIG EAST FIRST TEAM (COACHES): DL Dan Giordano, Cincinnati, Sr., Frankford, Ill./Lincoln-Way East, has been selected First Team All-BIG EAST Conference (Coaches selection) for the 2012 college football season. Giordano was UC's third-leading tackler with 51 stops, including 21 solo tackles. He finished with 12 QB hurries, 6.0 tackles for a loss, tied for the team lead with 5.0 sacks, and snagged two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, had a pass break up and pass defended. - Cincinnati football
10/26/12 - SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: In last week's loss at Toledo, the Bearcats held the Rockets without an offensive touchdown. Toledo had been averaging nearly 40 points per game. UC also sacked Rockets QB Terrance Owens three times, impressive since they were playing without top pass rusher Walter Stewart who also will miss this week's game with an unspecified upper body injury. UC forced one turnover last week, but Butch Jones is pushing his defense to be more aggressive and opportunistic. - The Sports Xchange
