Draft Scout Mike Glennon News
09/06/15 - QB Mike Glennon will be the backup to Jameis Winston despite the addition of QB Ryan Griffin, who was claimed on waivers from the New Orleans Saints. The Bucs have no plans to trade Glennon this year.
10/26/14 - QB Mike Glennon once again got off to a miserable start in Sunday's 19-13 overtime loss to the Vikings, managing only 31 yards and an ugly interception on 6-for-12 passing. Glennon bounced back well enough, finishing with 171 yards on 19-for-28 passing and engineering several late scoring drives. He made an excellent throw to tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins in the end zone for the rookie's first touchdown grab, and it put the Bucs ahead 13-10 with about two minutes to play. Glennon got the start Sunday even though quarterback Josh McCown, the starter for the Bucs' first three games, was activate after recovering from a right thumb injury.
10/13/14 - QB Mike Glennon had his second straight 300-yard passing game Sunday vs. the Ravens.
10/12/14 - QB Mike Glennon finished the Bucs' 48-17 blowout loss to the Ravens with 24 completions on 44 attempts for 314 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Glennon has thrown for at least two touchdowns in three consecutive starts, the first Bucs quarterback to do so since Josh Freeman did so in six straight from Oct. 14-Nov. 18, 2012. It also marked Glennon's second career 300-yard passing game. His two passing touchdowns gave him 26 for his career, tied for the ninth most in Tampa Bay franchise history.
10/05/14 - QB Mike Glennon (19 of 32 for 249 yards, two TDs and one interception) acquitted himself well in the game. Glennon was victimized by at least four drops. He also made an impressive play after being flushed out of the pocket to the left sideline, and then turning to throw against his body for a 34-yard gain to Vincent Jackson (8 catches for 144 yards). "Our offense, from the second quarter on, was really moving the ball well," Glennon said. "We had them right where we wanted them. But at the same time, you have to look at Drew Brees and that offense and realize the game's never over."
