Draft Scout Snapshot: A closer look at the Jaguars' picks: Round 3/64 - Dwayne Gratz, CB, 5-11, 201, Connecticut...Gratz isn't as big as Cyprien, who the Jaguars took in the previous round, but he has strength to play a physical-type game. He bench-pressed 225 pounds 22 times at the Combine this past spring. Plus he has the speed with a 4.47 clocking in the 40. He started all but 11 of 50 games at Connecticut in his career and finished with 189 tackles and eight interceptions. With the Jaguars secondary void of its top three cornerbacks from a year ago, Gratz will make a strong bid to step into a starting role as a rookie. - The Sports Xchange

04/24/13 - 2013 NFL DRAFT RANG'S GANG: CB: Dwayne Gratz, Connecticut, 5-11, 201, 4.44...Every attentive fantasy football enthusiast will tell you that the ability to pass protect is every bit as important as speed or elusiveness when it comes to projecting which rookie running backs might earn carries each year. In much this same way, tenacity and tackling in run support are often every bit as valued by teams as pure coverage skills at the cornerback position. Gratz, a 41-game starter at UCONN, possesses the all-around game scouts are looking for, showing not only toughness against the run but experience in man and zone coverages and good ball-skills (eight career interceptions), as well. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
04/17/13 - 2013 Connecticut Pro Day: Dwayne Gratz, CB (5-11 3/8, 203) - Gratz stood on all of his numbers from the combine (he was a top performer in his position group in the bench press, vertical jump and three-cone drill). Gratz also worked out well in the position drills. He stands at No. 42 in my Hot 100. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
02/27/13 - TOP 10 COMPELLING NFL COMBINE STORY LINES: 5. We now know why UConn fielded some formidable defenses. It's not surprising to see Bama and FSU and LSU players getting attention, but UConn is hardly viewed as a football factory. But the Huskies ranked No. 10 in the nation in total defense, No. 7 in rushing defense and No. 19 in sacks last season despite a 5-7 record. No question former Huskies defensive coordinator Don Brown deserves plenty of credit, but his former players created a lot of buzz in Indy. Trevardo Williams was the fastest DL; Sio Moore, an OLB, was one of the most impressive defensive players and DB Dwayne Gratz clocked a 4.35 40 unofficially and Blidi Wreh-Wilson, another DB, also looked good. - Bruce Feldman, CBSSports.com
12/24/12 - While the news that defensive coordinator Don Brown was leaving UConn for Boston College was disappointment for the program, there was some good news this week: three players have accepted invitations to the Senior Bowl rosters. Cornerbacks Dwayne Gratz and Blidi Wreh Wilson, and defensive end Trevardo Williams will all travel to Mobile, Ala. next month to take part in a week's worth of practices before playing in the All-Star game that also serves a more important purpose: it provides NFL coaches and scouts with a glimpse of this year's crop of draft-eligible prospects. - Ryan Wilson, NBC Connecticut
