04/08/13 - 2013 Tulane Pro Day: Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game MVP shows off arm for scouts...Representatives from 18 NFL teams were on hand for Tulane’s pro day on Friday, where six Green Wave players worked out indoors on FieldTurf in the New Orleans Saints’ practice facility. The Saints had a number of their staff in attendance, and an assistant coach from the Jacksonville Jaguars was also there.
Ryan Griffin, QB (6-foot-3 7/8, 221 pounds) - Griffin ran the 40-yard dash just once, doing so in 5.15 seconds. He had a 25 1/2-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot-5 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.75 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.62 seconds. Griffin earned MVP honors in the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game. A native of Westlake Village, Calif., Griffin completed his standout career ranked among the school's top-10 leaders in 12 difference categories. He threw for 9,036 yards and 56 touchdowns on 836-of-1,396 attempts (.600) and owns school records for completions, completion percentage and attempts and ranks second in passing yards and 300-yard games (10) and fourth in touchdown passes.
This season, he missed three and half games, but still passed for 2,771 yards and 20 touchdowns, which ranked seventh and 10th, respectively, among the schools single season leaders.
