04/28/13 - A closer look at the Cardinals' picks: Round 7/219 - D.C. Jefferson, TE, 6-6, 262, Rutgers...A high school quarterback who had a productive college career. Jefferson suffered a pectoral injury at the combine but says he has recovered and is ready to practice. - The Sports Xchange
03/28/13 - 2013 Rutgers Pro Day: D.C. Jefferson, TE (6-6 1/8, 262) - Jefferson ran the 40 in 5.00 and 4.97 seconds. He had a 32 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-11 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.62 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.47 seconds. He did not do the bench press due to an injuy. Jefferson was also at the combine. He will be drafted by a team looking for a blocking tight end; he’s a good receiver, but a much better blocker. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
02/27/13 - 02/27/13 NFL DRAFT SCOUT FALLER: 6. D.C. Jefferson, TE, Rutgers...Jefferson spent more of his time in a local Indianapolis hospital than he did performing athletic tests at the combine after suffering a pectoral injury during bench press testing. He managed to put up three repetitions of 225 pounds before suffering the injury, which kept him from participating in any other event. Should Jefferson have suffered a torn pectoral, as some close to him have speculated, he would likely require surgery that might ruin his chances at being drafted. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
02/22/13 - Pec injuries were a common occurrence at the combine on Friday. Rutgers tight end D.C. Jefferson may have torn his pectoral muscle during the bench press, according to NFL.com. Jefferson did three reps on the bench before stopping due to the injury. Jefferson is the 26th ranked tight end in the draft according to CBSSports.com's draft rankings. - John Breech, CBSSports.com
02/20/13 - 2013 NFL Combine, Workout warriors: Whereas Travis Kelce is a player who improved throughout his career at Cincinnati, Rutgers' D.C. Jefferson, another former quarterback, has consistently flashed the physical traits scouts are looking for only to leave them largely underwhelmed from a production standpoint. A solid week of practice at the East-West Shrine Game, however, could have his stock on the upswing. The 6-6, 255-pound athlete certainly has the size and fluidity to continue the momentum at the combine. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
