Draft Scout News
11/08/17 - OLB Chandler Jones leads the NFL in tackles for losses (14) and leads linebackers in sacks (9.0) and QB hits (16) in 2017.
His 32.5 sacks since 2015 are tied with Denver's Von Miller for the most in the NFL during that span.
11/01/17 - OLB Chandler Jones has eight sacks, and with one against the 49ers on Sunday, he would join Simeon Rice (nine in 1999) as the only players in team history with 9.0 or more sacks through the first eight games of a season. Jones' 31.5 sacks since the start of the 2015 season are tied with the Broncos' Von Miller for the most in the NFL over that span.
10/18/17 - OLB Chandler Jones on Wednesday was credited with an extra sack from Sunday's victory over Tampa Bay.
Originally, a fourth-quarter play was ruled that defensive tackle Frostee Rucker tackled Buccaneers quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick for a 2-yard loss. Instead, it now goes as a sack for Jones, giving him two sacks in the game. With that, Jones' seven sacks are a franchise record for the first six games of a season
09/17/17 - LB Chandler Jones finished with seven tackles, including two sacks for 16 yards in losses, two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble that the Colts recovered.
03/08/17 - LB Chandler Jones agreed to a five-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals, effectively removing the franchise tag assigned Jones on Feb. 27. Jones was acquired from the New England Patriots prior to the 2016 season and was the team's top priority in the offseason, head coach Bruce Arians said during the NFL Scouting Combine last week. Terms of the deal were not immediately available, but Jones is expected to strike it rich. The deal is likely to make Jones one of the highest-paid defensive players in NFL and should be finalized before the official start of free agency at 4 p.m. ET Thursday.
