12/05/13 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Brendon Kay was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week after going 29 of 50 for 386 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-17 victory on Nov. 23 at Houston. It wasn't all perfect for Kay, who also tossed two interceptions and lost a fumble. He was coming off a 406-yard, four-TD performance in a win at Rutgers and appears poised for a big game Thursday night against Louisville in his final home game at Nippert Stadium. - The Sports Xchange
11/29/13 - WEEK 13 AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brendon Kay, Sr., QB, Cincinnati, Marine City, Mich.,...Kay helped Cincinnati remain a half-game out of first place in the American Athletic Conference standings as the Bearcats were 24-17 winners at Houston. Kay completed 29 of 50 passes for 386 yards and two touchdowns and added a 14-yard rushing touchdown to stake Cincinnati to a 24-7 third-quarter lead. The performance was Kay's fourth 300-yard game of the season and the fifth of his career. He has thrown for 2,799 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. - American Athletic Conference football
11/23/13 - Brendon Kay threw for 386 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another as Cincinnati extended its winning streak to six games by holding off Houston for a 24-17 win Saturday. Kay finished 29 of 50 and added 38 yards on the ground. Shaq Washington caught 10 passes for 132 yards, Anthony McClung had 9 catches for 137 yards and Chris Moore added four receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns.

Hosey Williams rushed 13 times for 84 yards for Cincinnati (9-2, 6-1 American). John O'Korn finished 13 of 30 for 171 yards and a touchdown. He was replaced by Greg Ward, Jr., in the third quarter, and Ward finished 5 of 9 for 74 yards for the Cougars (7-4, 4-3). After a missed field goal late in the fourth quarter, Houston worked its way down the field to the Bearcats' 37, but time expired after a scramble by O'Korn. - AP Sports
