10/20/14 - TE Travis Kelce sustained a rib injury in the Chiefs' victory over San Diego. "We've just got to see how he does," said coach Andy Reid, who indicated the injury was not to a rib but to cartilage in the rib cage. Kelce remains the club's leading receiver with 24 catches for 307 yards.
10/15/14 - TE Travis Kelce has produced 14 first downs in his 20 catches, a league-leading 85 percent average for moving the sticks on his receptions. Kelce has 274 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He leads the Chiefs' offense in all three receiving categories.
09/17/14 - TE Travis Kelce will see his opportunities in the Chiefs offense continue to expand after his performance against Denver last Sunday.
Kelce was targeted by quarterback Alex Smith six times against the Broncos, with the young tight end catching four passes for 81 yards, a 20.3-yard average. That production included three third down catches of 20, 24 and 20 yards. In some of the Chiefs offensive formations, the 6-5 Kelce is being used more as a wide receiver than tight end.
