2007: 12 GP; 12 GS; 18 Sol-22 TT, 1 TFL, 5 INT, 14 PBU, 1 FR...2006: 7 GP; 4 GS; 15 Sol-17 TT, 1 TFL, 1 SK, 2 INT, 3 PBU; Athletic and confident playmaker who gives MU good size, at 6-foot-2, at the corner position ... Was a starter at the beginning of the season, as well as earning 2 starts at the end of the 2005 campaign ... Injured his knee in game #5 this year against Colorado, and was originally feared to be out for the rest of the season ... Injury wasn't as bad as initially thought, and he returned in game #11 at Iowa State, where he made up for lost time by breaking up 2 passes and grabbing his 1st career INT that led to a Tiger field goal ... 2005: 12 GP; 2 GS; KR: 5-77-15.4-0; 22 Sol-35 TT, 2 PBU; Had a very solid redshirt freshman campaign ...  Draft Scout Domonique Johnson News
01/14/10 - CB D.J. Johnson mostly saw action on special teams after finally making the weekly active list due to injuries. When inserted on defense, he wasn't afraid to tackle hard, but he often gave too much cushion against the receivers and didn't adjust to the ball while it was in the air.
11/11/09 - CB D.J.
04/28/09 - On Monday, the Broncos announced the addition of 15 undrafted free agents. Terms of the deals were not disclosed. Johnson was certainly a playmaker at Jackson State. He transferred from Missouri after starting four games as a redshirt sophomore in 2006, and made a name for himself playing for the Tigers. A 2008 first-team All-SWAC pick, he intercepted 10 passes and deflected 27 the past two seasons. In fact, he became so successful that teams stoped challenging him on the outside, so he played some free safety to take advantage of his playmaking ability. - DenverBroncos.com
03/28/09 - Jackson State Pro day: On March 25, Jackson State had to move its pro day to the Velocity Sports Performance facility in Ridgeland, Miss., after rain forced the event indoors. Representatives from 15 NFL teams were in attendance to watch nine players work out on a FieldTurf-type surface. John Dorsey, the Packers’ director of college scouting, and Rick Reiprish, the Saints’ director of college scouting, ran the show. The top performance came from CB Domonique Johnson (6-2, 188 pounds), who turned in times of 4.57, 4.52 and 4.54 in the 40-yard dash, with a 4.28 time in the short shuttle and a 7.21 in the three-cone drill. He took part in position drills but stood on his numbers from the combine in the jumps and on the bench press. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
01/21/09 - 2009 Senior Bowl: Jackson State cornerback Domonique Johnson transferred from Missouri (where he was a sophomore starter before a knee injury) after coaches there questioned his dedication. There's no questioning his size and speed, however. And although his 6-1 1/2, 197-pound frame and quick feet remind some of 2008 first-round pick Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Johnson's hips are not as fluid and his ball skills and physicality are not as advanced. Still, he's a fine mid-round prospect who deserves to be in Mobile. - Chad Reuter, The Sports Xchange, NFLDraftScout.com
