 Draft Scout Latavius Murray News
10/09/17 - RB Latavius Murray earned his first start of the season in place of RB Dalvin Cook, who is out for the season with a torn ACL. Murray gained 13 yards on 12 carries, with RB Jerick McKinnon getting more action.
08/25/17 - RB Latavius Murray is back to full go and is expected to see his first action as a Viking on Sunday. Murray is clearly behind rookie Dalvin Cook in comfort level with offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur's offense. Murray missed the entire offseason program, most of training camp and the first two preseason games because of ankle surgery. But whether or not he starts, Murray will have a role in the offense along with Cook and third-down back Jerick McKinnon.
08/07/17 - RB Latavius Murray was activated from the physically unable to perform list, the team announced. Murray was sidelined while recovering from offseason ankle surgery. The 27-year-old was expected to practice on Monday with Minnesota for the first time since signing a three-year, $15 million deal -- $8.55 million guaranteed -- as a free agent in March. He missed all of the offseason practices and the first 10 days of training camp while rehabilitating his surgically repaired right ankle.
08/06/17 - RB Latavius Murray, who was expected to be back from ankle surgery before the start of camp, still has not practiced and will not play in the preseason opener at Buffalo on Thursday.
07/24/17 - RB Latavius Murray was placed on the physically unable to perform list as training camp got underway. Murray, 27, is still recovering from offseason right ankle surgery. He reported to camp at Minnesota State University in Mankato. Murray spent the past four seasons playing for the Oakland Raiders before signing a three-year, $15 million deal -- $8.55 million guaranteed -- with Minnesota as a free agent. He missed all of spring drills following his March 22 ankle surgery.
