Draft Scout DeVier Posey News
12/26/13 - --WR DeVier Posey (ankle) didn't participate in practice and won't play at Tennessee.
12/24/13 - WR DeVier Posey is expected to miss his third consecutive game because of a high ankle sprain.
12/17/13 - WR DeVier Posey left the Indianapolis game with a high ankle sprain and may not be able to play against Denver.
09/02/13 - WR DeVier Posey played for the first time since suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon in the playoff loss to New England. He caught two passes for 18 yards in the last preseason game against Dallas. He'll be brought along slowly in regular season.
08/18/13 - WR DeVier Posey will be activated from PUP Monday and should play against New Orleans, according to coach Gary Kubiak.
Posey was been sidelined since undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon, an injury he suffered in the playoff loss at New England.
"It would be up there with me coming back from my suspension," Posey said about being suspended by the NCAA while playing at Ohio State. "It would probably mean a lot more than that, just because I had to dig deep. I had to really pull myself out of this injury."
Just about everybody but Posey thought he'd begin regular season on PUP and be forced to miss at least the first six weeks.
"He's worked extremely hard, and he's been running a lot of routes," Kubiak said. "It looks like we're very close to pulling him off PUP, and, hopefully, he's back working. The thought process in the offseason was it probably wasn't going to happen this early, but it sure looks like it's got a chance. That would be a huge boost to our team."
