 Draft Scout Terrelle Pryor News
01/02/13 - QB Terrelle Pryor was enthused about his starting debut, while at the same time understanding he has a long way to go. Pryor completed 13 of 28 passes for 150 yards and touchdowns of 9 yards to Darrius Heyward-Bey and 5 yards to Denarius Moore. Pryor also had a 3-yard touchdown run. "I felt like a leader on the field but there was some throws where I was down," Pryor said. "I've got to get out of that young stage where when I miss a throw, I've got to say, 'I'm OK, it's on to the next play.' "It carried over a couple of times and I can't let that happen. I have eto be professional and a leader and I admit that."
12/31/12 - QB Terrelle Pryor did enough to warrant a serious look to be next season's backup quarterback based on his performance against the Chargers. Coach Dennis Allen was relatively guarded in his assessment, saying, "I think he earned the chance for us to evaluate him some more. That was a good first step in that direction. He needs to improve. There's still a lot of room for improvement, but there were some positive things that he did in the game that he needs to learn from and try to enhance." General manager Reggie McKenzie liked the fact that Pryor had just one turnover -- an interception by Quentin Jammer in the end zone. "On a wet, soggy field, I liked the way he took care of the football," McKenzie said.
12/24/12 - QB Terrelle Pryor had the Raiders' biggest gain of the day with a 22-yard reception off a double pass from Carson Palmer.
12/24/12 - QB Terrelle Pryor could get the start this week, coach Dennis Allen said, as Carson Palmer was ruled out of the Chargers game with a bruised lung and cracked ribs. Pryor will compete for the job this week with Matt Leinart, who struggled in relief of Palmer last week.
12/17/12 - QB Terrelle Pryor got the action he was promised when the Raiders designated the first series of the second quarter for the No. 3 quarterback. It didn't amount to much. Guard Mike Brisiel had a false start on the first snap. On the next two plays, Pryor handed the ball to Darren McFadden. He threw incomplete to McFadden on third down and was done for the day. "We had it set at just one series," Pryor said. "It was a stepping stone. I enjoyed the four plays or whatever it was, but I was excited to get in there, at least."
