04/30/12 - A closer look at the Bills' picks: Round 5/144 - Zebrie Sanders, OT, 6-5, 320, Florida State...More of a project player than Glenn, can play both right and left side. Dropped after a poor Senior Bowl week. - The Sports Xchange
04/02/12 - NFL DRAFT SCOUT TOP OFFENSIVE LINEMEN: Zebrie Sanders, Florida State, 6-6, 308...When starting left tackle Andrew Datko went out with an injury last year, Sanders moved from right to left tackle and seemed to have some of the best games among his 50 career starts. However, he does not appear to be a candidate for left tackle in the NFL. Sanders is a lithesome, long-limbed athlete who was very effective in FSU's zone-slide pass protection scheme and is the kind of player who should show significant improvement over the next few years. In 2009 he had a career-high 43 knockdown blocks, but he also had problems pass blocking as he gave up six sacks and was benched during a game against South Florida. Again in the Senior Bowl he struggled while handling power rushers one-on-one and scouts think he will need to add about 20 pounds of muscle to cope with NFL defenders. Sanders always displayed the exceptional dedication it takes to do accomplish lofty goals -- to be an Eagle Scout, an accomplished violist in a chamber orchestra or, most important in this context, an NFL offensive tackle. - Frank Cooney, The Sports Xchange
02/23/12 - NFL DRAFT SCOUT PRE-COMBINE TOP 64: 46. Zebrie Sanders, OT, Florida State, 6-6, 308, 2...When starting left tackle Andrew Datko went out with an injury last year, Sanders moved from right to left and seemed to have some of the best games among his 50 career starts. He is a lithesome, long-limbed athlete who was very effective in FSU's zone-slide pass protection scheme. 01/27/12 - 2012 SENIOR BOWL FALLERS: Zebrie Sanders, OT, Florida State: After Florida State left tackle Andrew Datko went down with a season-ending injury, Zebrie Sanders moved from right tackle to the left side and really had a strong second half of 2011, looking more natural at left tackle. However this week in practice, Sanders lined up mostly at right tackle and really struggled to hold up against rushers in one-on-one drills. His lack of lower body anchor showed up against bull rushers and his undisciplined technique in space forced him to overextend and bend over at the waist, ending up on the ground. Sanders is an impressive athlete for his size (6-5 1/2, 308 pounds with 34 1/2-inch arms and 11-inch hands), but needs extensive work on his fundamentals before he's ready to contribute on a pro offensive line. He had a chance to emerge as the top tackle in the senior class, securing a slot in the first round. However after a poor week, Sanders looks more like a second-round development prospect, similar to former Southern Cal tackle Charles Brown, a second-round pick of the Saints. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
01/12/12 - Before the end of the month, seven Florida State seniors will have a chance to appear in one final collegiate game ahead of April's NFL Draft. The septuplet will be playing in any of three senior all-star game showcases occuring in the Southeast. Punter Shawn Powell will represent the Seminoles in the East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg on Jan. 21. That same day, receiver Bert Reed, safety Terrance Parks, running back Jermaine Thomas and tight end Ja'Baris Little will play in the inaugural "Battle for Florida" all-star game in Boca Raton. The following weekend, linebacker Nigel Bradham and Zebrie Sanders head to Mobile, Ala. to play in the Senior Bowl. - Coley Harvey, The Orlando Sentinel
