 Draft Scout Travis Tannahill News
04/30/13 - Browns sign 18 undrafted free agents...Travis Tannahill - Four year letterman at Kansas State University (2009-12)… Appeared in 51 games recording 42 receptions for 528 yards with three touchdowns… Earned first team All-Big 12 honors (Coaches, AP) as a senior and earned honorable mention All-America honors from Sports Illustrated… Attended Olathe East High School in Overland Park, Kansas. - ClevelandBrowns.com
01/03/13 - Scouting the Kansas State passing game: Injuries early in the season along the offensive line figured to affect the protection the line could give QB Collin Klein. Yet the line performed well in most games and Klein connected on more deep balls this season after working on his form. WR Tyler Lockett is a burner who can get loose downfield, while WR Chris Harper is the most dependable target as far as getting open. Do not sleep on TE Travis Tannahill, who sometimes slips into routes when it seems as if a play is designed as a keeper for Klein. - The Sports Xchange
12/09/12 - 2012 ALL-BIG 12 FIRST TEAM (COACHES): TE Travis Tannahill, Kansas State, Sr., Overland Park, Kan./Olathe East, has been selected First Team All-Big 12 Conference (Coaches selection) for the 2012 college football season. - Kansas State football
12/09/12 - 2012 ALL-BIG 12 FIRST TEAM (MEDIA): Tight end: Travis Tannahill, Kansas State, 6-3, 253, Sr., Overland Park, Kan., has been selected First Team All-Big 12 Conference (Media selection) for the 2012 college football season. - Kansas State football
09/05/12 - Any strides made in the passing game are welcome in order to take some of the pressure off QB Collin Klein to carry the Wildcats with his brute strength as a rusher. Still, the results from Week One were choppy at best. Among wideouts, Tramaine Thompson enjoyed the best performance with five receptions for 52 yards. The Wildcats are often hesitant to use tight ends, instead saving them to be surprise weapons in big games, though TE Travis Tannahill erupted for a 37-yard gain on his only catch. - The Sports Xchange
