Draft Scout Mike Remmers News
03/10/17 - OT Mike Remmers signed a five-year, $30 million contract with Minnesota. The move comes one day after they inked former Detroit Lions tackle Riley Reiff to a deal. Remmers spent the last two seasons with the Carolina Panthers after being released from the Vikings prior to the start of the 2014 campaign. He made 19 starts at right tackle during the last two seasons before switching to the left side for the final 13 games of 2016.
04/12/16 - T Mike Remmers, who was tendered as a restricted free agent by the Panthers, was re-signed Tuesday (April 12).
09/20/15 - OT Mike Remmers ended up with a commendable performance going up against Texans DE J.J. Watt. Watt ended up with only one tackle for a loss (compared to six a week earlier). Remmers called the opportunity special in squaring off with Watt, and afterward seemed content that he fared pretty well. "Just wanted to try to take advantage of it as much as I can," he said.
12/01/14 - RT Mike Remmers, who had played just four snaps since he came into the league in 2012, was in for all 74 offensive plays.
10/28/14 - T Mike Remmers was signed by the Panthers from the Rams' practice squad Tuesday (Oct. 28). Remmers, 6-5 and 300 pounds, has spent time on the practice squads of Tampa Bay, Minnesota and St. Louis. He has also spent time on the active rosters of San Diego and Minnesota, playing in one game for the Chargers in 2013. He entered the NFL with Denver in 2012 as an undrafted free agent from Oregon State.
