Post-Draft Outlook:
A closer look at the Jets' picks: Round 2/61 -- Vladimir Ducasse, T/G, 6-4 1/2, 332, Massachusetts, Ducasse moved to the U.S. from Haiti in 2002 and has played football for only seven years. He thus is somewhat raw, but is believed to have tremendous upside and will compete for the vacant job of LG now that Alan Faneca has been released. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Vladimir Ducasse News
10/20/14 - RG Vladimir Ducasse (knee) left the game on the same play on which C John Sullivan was hurt. He was scheduled to have an MRI on Monday.
03/31/14 - OL Vladimir Ducasse signed a one-year contract with the Vikings. Ducasse, 26, spent the first four seasons of his career with the New York Jets. Ducasse, a second-round pick in 2010, appeared in 50 games for the Jets, making five starts. In 2013, the 6-foot-5, 325-pound Ducasse appeared in all 16 games and started the first four games of the season. A native of Prince Au Port, Haiti, Ducasse moved to the United States in 2002 before playing collegiately at Massachusetts. Ducasse joins last year's starting guards Brandon Fusco and Charlie Johnson, along with last year's sixth-round choice, Jeff Baca, and Josh Samuda as the guards currently under contract for the Vikings.
09/05/13 - G Vladimir Ducasse will start for the Jets at left guard in the season opener against the Buccaneers on Sunday. That Ducasse, who was expected to serve as the Jets' backup tackle, will be starting at left guard comes as a bit of a surprise. The Jets signed Willie Colon to play left guard and drafted Brian Walters with the expectation he would start at right guard, but Colon will play right guard and Winters, who battled an ankle injury during training camp, will be the backup at both guard spots. This will be the first NFL start for Ducasse, whom the Jets selected in the second round of the 2010 draft.
