Draft Scout Anthony Walters News
10/18/13 - S Anthony Walters went through his first full practice in three weeks following a hamstring injury, and unless he has a setback will be able to participate on special teams and in a backup role on defense.
10/16/13 - S Anthony Walters, out two games with a hamstring pull, practiced Wednesday on a limited basis and could be a game-time decision. Walters would be a big boost for a punt coverage unit that has slipped to 29th in the league and kick return group that has slipped to 27th.
10/09/13 - --S Anthony Walters has been ruled out for the game with a hamstring pull. Walters did not play last week, either, and his loss leaves the Bears hoping Michael Ford, Joe Anderson or another young player can step up and fill the void on special teams.
10/08/13 - S Anthony Walters, a key special teams player, continues to be sidelined with a hamstring injury and did not practice. His availability Thursday seems unlikely.
10/03/13 - CB Anthony Walters missed practice with a pulled hamstring. He has not practiced this week and his status for Sunday's game is in doubt. It could mean an opportunity for undrafted rookie free-agent acquisition CB C.J. Wilson to see action on special teams if Walters is unavailable. Also, it would leave the Bears short at safety since Craig Steltz is the only other backup safety.
