 Draft Scout *Dre Kirkpatrick News
12/08/17 - CB Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. He was injured during Monday night's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
11/20/17 - CB Dre Kirkpatrick returned an interception 87 yards, before fumbling and recovering at the 1-yard line to set up the first touchdown by the Bengals (4-6). Kirkpatrick was credited with a 101-yard interception return on the stat sheet, but didn't make it into the end zone. Kirkpatrick was about 2 yards deep in the end zone when he picked off Brock Osweiler's pass intended for Cody Latimer, who got jammed in traffic. Dashing down the field the other way with wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in hot pursuit, Kirkpatrick jostled the ball loose inside the 15 as he turned to look over his shoulder. The ball squirted forward and Kirkpatrick recovered it at the 1-yard line, setting up the Bengals' first touchdown. "I have to hold on to the ball." Kirkpatrick said. "I didn't know where they (Thomas and Sanders) were at. It was just an act of the moment. But I have to hold on to the ball, no excuses for it. I have to put it in."
10/09/17 - CB Dre Kirkpatrick who was listed on the injury report during the week with a shoulder injury, left Sunday's game in the first half and did not return. Head coach Marvin Lewis described Kirkpatrick as "sore" on Monday, but believed the bye week should allow him time to recover for the trip to Pittsburgh on Oct. 22.
09/11/17 - CB Dre Kirkpatrick was wearing a boot after Sunday's game and on Monday. Kirkpatrick said he was stepped on and will be ready to go on Thursday night against the Houston Texans.
08/25/17 - CB Dre Kirkpatrick broke his hand in May and was limited for most of the summer. He's been practicing fully and hopes to see his first game action on Sunday. But, the most important thing for him is that he's ready for the regular-season opener against Baltimore on Sept. 10, which would be his third straight start in an opener. "I'm just ready to crank it back up," Kirkpatrick said, according to Bengals.com. "The first week of practice I had a good practice, but they turned me down a little bit and told me I still wasn't able to do certain things. Last week I was able to get back out there and really kind of full go."
