09/13/12 - RT Bobby Massie, the fourth-round pick, played well last week in his first NFL game. Massie did a solid job in pass protection, but like all the team's linemen, needs to improve run blocking.
09/07/12 - RT Bobby Massie, the fourth-round pick, will open the season as the starting right tackle.
08/12/12 - RT Bobby Massie, the fourth-round pick, is coming off a difficult week. He is struggling to learn a new pass setup and he's dealing with a turf toe injury. Massie has not looked good in training camp, but his struggles are normal for a young tackle, coach Ken Whisenhunt said.
07/31/12 - OT Bobby Massie, the fourth-round pick, didn't stand out in his first week of work, but he didn't play poorly, either. Massie is competing with Jeremy Bridges for the starting job. At 6-6, Massie appears to have a problem with getting too high on his pass sets. At least he did in the first day or two of camp. He appeared to improve through the week.
05/18/12 - OT Bobby Massie is expected to contend for a starting job. He was the only right tackle in the three day camp and took every snap there. "It was a learning experience," Massie said. "I tried to pick up on the plays really fast and different defenses. I messed up here and there but I corrected when I could."
Massie is expected to contend for the starting job, and will be challenged by veterans Jeremy Bridges and D'Anthony Batiste.
"I'm coming here with the mindset to start, but there's a vet (Bridges) who has been here nine, 10 years," he said. "I'm just coming in to learn as much as I can."
