Draft Scout *Chris Faulk News
04/30/13 - Browns sign 18 undrafted free agents...Chris Faulk - Appeared in 26 games at LSU (2009, 2011-12) with 16 starts… Spent time at both left and right tackle… Appeared in just one game as a junior (2012) after suffering a knee injury in practice… Attended Northshore High School in Slidell, Louisiana. - ClevelandBrowns.com
04/29/13 - 2013 NFL DRAFT: TOP 10 UNDRAFTED UNDERCLASSMEN: 8. OT Chris Faulk, LSU (6-5, 331, 5.08)...Faulk became the full-time starter at left tackle as a sophomore but started just one game in 2012 after a knee injury that required separate surgeries on his MCL and ACL. Despite missing almost all of his junior year, he decided to skip his final season and go pro. The questions about his knee were likly a large factor as to why he went undrafted. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
03/29/13 - 2013 LSU Pro Day: Chris Faulk, OT (6-5 7/8, 327) - He had knee surgery last fall and only did positional drills. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
02/23/13 - The first group of offensive linemen have finished running the 40-yard dash and all but two of the athletes participated, each due to recovering from injuries. LSU junior left tackle Chris Faulk was unable to participate as he continues to recover from surgery to repair a torn ACL. West Texas A&M left tackle Manase Foketi suffered a strained calf at the East-West Shrine Game practices and hasn't sufficiently recovered enough to do the drill. He will, however, compete in the other offensive line drills in Indianapolis and plans to run the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day.
Prior to sustaining the ACL tear, the 6-5, 331-pound Faulk ranked among the top offensive tackles in the country. He earned Second Team All-SEC honors in his first season as the Tigers' starting left tackle and had demonstrated surprisingly light feet and overall athleticism despite a less-than-impressive build. Should he prove he is recovering from the injury, Faulk warrants second to third round consideration. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
02/20/13 - 2013 NFL Combine, Tale of the tape: With scouts having seen most of the top prospects "on the hoof" over the fall and getting a second look at them on the "catwalk" prior to senior all-star games, the official measuring of heights, weight, hand and arms conducted during the Combine is only occasionally newsworthy ... except when it comes to underclassmen, whom scouts often haven't seen up close yet. As such Colorado's David Bakhtiari and LSU's Faulk have a lot riding on how they measure up in Indianapolis.
Faulk, listed at 6-6, 323, on the other hand, has shown remarkably light feet while protecting the edge against SEC speed. He has carried more weight across his middle, however, than one normally sees in today's left tackles, so his overall fitness will be evaluated by scouts. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
