Draft Scout Snapshot: A closer look at the Falcons' picks: 4/127 -- Malliciah Goodman, DE, 6-3, 276, Clemson...Goodman, a defensive end, was a Parade All-America selection and played in the U.S. Army All-American game. He was described as having "violent hands" in his NFL.com bio. He started two of 27 games over his first two seasons and had three sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss as he backed up Da'Quan Bowers. Over his final two seasons, he increased his effort level and started his final 27 games for the Tigers. As a junior, he set a new school-record for defensive linemen by playing 767 snaps. He finished with nine sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss, 11 pressures and five forced fumbles as a senior. - The Sports Xchange

04/28/13 - A closer look at the Falcons' picks: 4/127 -- Malliciah Goodman, DE, 6-3, 276, Clemson...Goodman, a defensive end, was a Parade All-America selection and played in the U.S. Army All-American game. 03/16/13 - 2013 Clemson Pro Day: Twenty NFL teams including New York Jets coach Rex Ryan and GM John Idzik, and five NFL receiver coaches watched 12 Clemson players and one Southern Illinois player work out on March 7. The Jets were there to see Malliciah Goodman.

Malliciah Goodman, DE (6-3 1/2, 273 pounds) - Goodman ran the 40-yard dash in 4.70 and 4.67 seconds. He recorded a 33-inch vertical, a 9-foot-9 broad jump, a 4.48-second short shuttle run and 7.10-seconds in the three-cone drill. He had the same reps (26) at 225 as at the NFL combine. His biggest measurable might be his nearly 37-inch-long arms. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

03/08/13 - 2013 Clemson Pro Day: Mallaciah Goodman, also uninvited to the Combine, needs to build up his strength after only 26 reps on the bench press, because teams are looking at him on the left side of the defense, either as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense or as a left defensive end in a 4-3 approach. “They keep emphasizing I need to use my hands,” Goodman said, and it’s no wonder. His hands are huge, with a 12-inch spread, which means he can slap a paw down on an 8x11 piece of paper and have his pinkie and thumb extend over the edges. “I’m going to do the work,” Goodman said. “I want to make somebody glad they drafted me.” - Bart Wright, Greenville News
03/07/13 - 2013 Clemson Pro Day: Defensive end Malliciah Goodman turned in a 4.87 40-yard dash time from the combine, but improved that number with runs in the mid-4.6 range. He also improved his vertical (33”) and broad jump (9'9”) numbers from the combine. At 6-4 and 276 with 36.5-inch arm length, Goodman passes the eye test and with some NFL coaching, his best football might be ahead of him. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
12/31/12 - Scouting the Clemson run defense: Clemson has gotten better against the run as the season's progressed, thanks primarily to the maturation of several young defensive linemen, including Josh Watson, DeShawn Williams and Grady Jarrett. But the Tigers still give up more than 160 yards per game and rank a middle-of-the-pack 61st nationally against the run. LSU has multiple backs capable of inflicting damage, led by burly Jeremy Hill (6-2, 235), so Clemson will have to get a handle on the Tigers' running game from the outset or things could get ugly. - The Sports Xchange
