09/18/14 - CB Demontre Hurst was brought back to the 53-man roster Thursday. Hurst had been cut after the Buffalo game when he made a few special teams snafus, but did record two tackles in that game.
09/10/14 - CB Demontre Hurst was waived by the Bears Monday (Sept. 8). The 6-0, 210-pound Dixon was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Baylor. He was signed to the Vikings practice squad last week after being waived by Dallas at the end of the preseason.

04/29/13 - The Bears on Sunday agreed to terms with the following 10 undrafted free agents: Oklahoma cornerback Demontre Hurst...Hurst started all 13 games at left cornerback last season and was named All-Big 12 second-team by the conference's coaches after ranking fourth on Oklahoma's defense with 59 tackles. 01/09/13 - Senior cornerback Demontre Hurst has accepted an invitation to play for the West in the annual East-West Shrine Game. Beginning in 1925, it is the longest-running all-star college football game. The 2013 edition is scheduled to be played Jan. 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. (CT), and the game can be seen on the NFL Network.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to play in the East-West Shrine Game," Hurst said. "I appreciate all of the support that I received from my coaches and teammates during my career at the University of Oklahoma, and will always be grateful for the chance to play in front of our great Sooners fans. I look forward to showcasing my skills in this all-star contest." A starter at cornerback in all 13 games this season, Hurst finished fourth on the team with 59 tackles and was second with nine pass breakups.
