Draft Scout *Kevin Minter News
06/01/14 - LB Kevin Minter has been given the initial task of trying to replace Karlos Dansby as the Cardinals' signal-calling inside linebacker and coach Bruce Arians said he likes what he is seeing from the former LSU standout.
"He's a different person," Arians said. "Checking back with his coaches at LSU, his freshman year was kind of what he was like last year; he was like lost. His sophomore year he was thrown into a leadership role and really relished it. He's done a really nice job right now, accepting the role he's got and trying to expand it.
"It's a big responsibility. You're the signal-caller, you're the leader of the defense. He's got very big shoes to fill. Karlos was very dynamic in what he did last year. (Defensive coordinator) Todd (Bowles) schemed very well for him, just like he will for Kevin and whoever else that will be in there."
12/03/13 - ILB Kevin Minter (shoulder) left in the first half and didn't return. A backup, Minter is a solid special teams player.
10/10/13 - ILB Kevin Minter (hamstring), a good special teams player, is limited in practice this week but is expected to play against the 49ers.
09/25/13 - ILB Kevin Minter (hamstring) isn't expected to play.
04/28/13 - The Cardinals' decision to trade down in the second round will link linebackers Kevin Minter and Manti Te'o together for years to come. The Cardinals passed on a chance to take Te'o with the 38th overall pick, trading down seven spots with the Chargers, who took Te'o. The Cardinals took Minter out of LSU. They were willing to trade down because they had Minter ranked higher than Te'o. I'm a physical player," he said. "I'm passionate. I'm about business. I feel like I'll be a great asset to this team. I play balls to the wall on every play." - The Sports Xchange
