Draft Scout Kevin Norwood News
09/02/16 - WR Kevin Norwood was carted into the locker room after landing on his left hip while making a leaping grab late in second quarter of the final exhibition game.
08/31/15 - WR Kevin Norwood was acquired from the Seattle Seahawks for a conditional 2017 draft choice. The Panthers have been struggling at the position. They lost No. 1 receiver Kelvin Benjamin to a torn ACL, and first-round pick Devin Funchess has been working through a hamstring injury. The Seahawks drafted Norwood in the fourth round last year. He played in nine games and caught nine passes for 102 yards.
12/22/14 - WR Kevin Norwood, a rookie from Alabama, was a healthy inactive for the second straight week but could be needed this week depending on the injuries to WRs Jermaine Kearse and Chris Matthews.
09/25/14 - WR Kevin Norwood, a fourth-round pick out of Alabama, should be fully recovered after the bye week from foot surgery early in training camp to remove some bone spurs. Norwood has been inactive for the first three games. His return will add another body to an already-crowded receiving spot as the Seahawks have had six receivers on the active roster for each of the first six games. Norwood could end up competing with fellow rookie Paul Richardson, a second-round pick out of Colorado, for the last spot on the active roster as the team is unlikely to have seven active on game day.
09/15/14 - WR Kevin Norwood, a rookie from Alabama, practiced all last week and is healthy after having had foot surgery early in training camp. However, he was not active with Seattle having six other active receivers. So he will have to wait at least another week to make his NFL debut.
