 Draft Scout Jermaine Robinson News
12/15/12 - Scouting the pass defense: Utah State QB Chuckie Keaton, who threw for 3,100 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, will test Toledo's secondary in the most severe manner. Toledo allowed about 300 passing yards per game this season and 26 passing touchdowns. Senior DB Jermaine Robinson led the MAC with four interceptions this season and needs to have a big impact in the bowl if the Rockets are to hinder Keaton's operation. - The Sports Xchange
12/15/12 - Safety Jermaine Robinson said the Rockets developed a quick respect for the Aggies after looking at the film of Utah State. "It's a good matchup; they're talented," Robinson said. "They beat a good Louisiana Tech team to win their conference, they have a good running back who has over 1,200 yards and an athletic quarterback. "Those two put together with their defense makes it a great challenge, but we're going to do what we have to do to win this game." - The Sports Xchange
12/02/12 - 2012 ALL-MAC FIRST TEAM: Defensive Back - Jermaine Robinson, Toledo, has been selected First Team All-Mid-American Conference for the 2012 college football season. Robinson is the MAC co-leader and 19th in nation with four interceptions. He ranks fourth in MAC with 13 passes defended (interceptions + passes broken up) and is fourth on team with 68 tackles. - Toledo football
11/20/12 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: Safety Jermaine Robinson leads the MAC with four pass interceptions this season. Robinson has eight picks in his career, and has taken four of them back for touchdowns. - The Sports Xchange
11/14/12 - SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: Toledo faces the MAC's best quarterback, junior Jordan Lynch of Northern Illinois, who ranks second in the nation in rushing with 1,342 yards (behind Toledo RB David Fluellen with 1,381). A dynamic running quarterback presents the Rockets with a different challenge, and likely puts the pressure on their linebacking corps, led by senior LB Dan Molls, who leads the nation in tackles with 132. PLAYERS TO WATCH: S Jermaine Robinson leads the MAC with four interceptions this season. Robinson has eight interceptions in his career, and has taken four of them back for touchdowns. - The Sports Xchange
