Draft Scout News
11/28/16 - TE Dion Sims (15 receptions, 167 yards, 1 TD on the season) recorded seven receptions for 73 yards and 1 TD in the last two games. Coach Adam Gase said while it seems Sims should stay in block he's a perfectly capable receiver. Sims only missed two plays in the last two games and his performance hasn't slipped. "He's been pretty consistent when he's out there," Gase said.
11/16/16 - TE Dion Sims returned last week from his absence due to a concussion, and he could be a viable option to make up for the loss of LT Branden Albert (wrist) this week. Sims is regarded as a quality in-line blocker with good pass protection skills. Miami would likely rather send TEs MarQueis Gray or Dominique Jones on pass routes and keep Sims in to block than vice versa.
11/09/16 - TE Dion Sims (concussion) was listed as full practice participation Wednesday but head coach Adam Gase said Sims remains in concussion protocol. Sims has missed the last two games. The Dolphins have TEs MarQueis Gray, Dominique Jones and rookie Thomas Duarte on the roster.
11/07/16 - TE Dion Sims (concussion) might be ready to return this week. Sims, who has missed the last two games, increased his practice activity last week and was seen running fairly hard on the field before Sunday's game against the Jets.
11/02/16 - TE Dion Sims (concussion) returned to the practice field Wednesday, but it's unclear whether he'll be able to play Sunday. Sims is out of concussion protocol.
