 Draft Scout Bennie Fowler News
05/13/14 - Denver Broncos Add CFAs After 2014 NFL Draft: Bennie Fowler, Position: WR, School: Michigan State...Caught 93 passes for 1,341 yards and 11 touchdowns in 44 career games for the Spartans. - Gray Caldwell & Stuart Zaas, DenverBroncos.com
05/07/14 - 2014 NFL Draft: 126 FBS programs, 126 possible UDFAs: MICHIGAN STATE: WR Bennie Fowler (6-1, 217, 4.52)...Fowler has the size/speed combination that the NFL looks for at the receiver position, but due to inconsistencies catching the ball, he will likely need to catch on through free agency. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
01/13/14 - Michigan State receiver Bennie Fowler has signed with an agent and will not return to the Spartans, according to a school spokesperson. Michigan State associate athletic director for communications, John Lewandowski, confirmed the news on Sunday afternoon, indicating that Fowler had investigated the option to appeal for a sixth year of eligibility and did not believe he had a successful case. Sports agent Jovan Barnes, of Relativity Sports management, tweeted earlier this weekend that he had signed Fowler. Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio had raised the possibility that Fowler might have a case for another year earlier this season. - Mike Griffith, Michigan Live
09/04/13 - While the quarterback position continues to be front and center, there were also some shakeups at wide receiver. Senior Bennie Fowler is no longer in the starting lineup as sophomore Macgarrett Kings Jr. moves into that role. He joins sophomore Aaron Burbridge and junior Keith Mumphery after the receivers dropped multiple passes in the opening win over Western Michigan. "I think Macgarrett Kings has caught the ball very well throughout camp," Dantonio said.

"I have a lot of confidence in him catching the ball and that's why he is there. "Bennie Fowler has made plays on game day. Keith Mumphery has. Aaron Burbridge has. We've seen Tony Lippett make plays. What we need is consistency in performance. We can't settle for less. We can't settle for it and we have to make sure everybody is getting an opportunity to move forward." Also, junior DeAnthony Arnett was not listed on the depth chart, though Dantonio that simply could have been a mistake since Burbridge was listed twice. "DeAnthony Arnett still figures into who we are," he said. - The Sports Xchange

08/14/13 - OTHER MICHIGAN STATE PROSPECTS WORTH WATCHING: WR Bennie Fowler (6-1, 212, 4.49)...As a junior, led the team with 524 receiving yards and four TD catches. Enters 2013 as the starting split end. Physical wideout with solid hands who needs to become more consistent as a route runner. - Derek Stephens, NFLDraftScout.com
