Draft Scout Luke Bowanko News
09/02/17 - C Luke Bowanko was traded by the Jaguars to the Ravens for an undisclosed draft pick Saturday. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Bowanko played in 25 games with the Jaguars, making 14 starts at center. Originally a 2014 sixth-round pick by the Jaguars, he saw action in all 16 games as a rookie and made 14 starts. In 2015, the 26-year-old Bowanko played in seven games, while during the 2016 season he was on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list with a hip injury for the first 13 weeks of the season and then played in two games.
09/01/17 - OG Luke Bowanko is in the hunt for one of the starting guard spots. Bowanko has not played much the last two years after starting 14 games at center in his rookie season in 2014. He played extensively in the Atlanta game and was hoping for a good grade from coaches in his battle with several others for a starting spot.
08/26/17 - G Luke Bowanko saw his first extended playing time since his rookie season in 2014 when he played 33 snaps as the starter at left guard in the Carolina game. Patrick Omameh, who had been the starter in the first two preseason games at that spot, played 32 snaps alternating with Bowanko. Neither player turned in a strong performance.
12/12/16 - C Luke Bowanko, added to the roster this week from the reserve/injured list, was active for Sunday's game with Minnesota. He did not see any action.
12/07/16 - OL Luke Bowanko, who was put on reserve/injured list during the preseason games, continues to be a full participant at practice. The Jaguars will make a decision in the next couple of weeks whether to activate Bowanko to the 53-man roster or keep him on IR for the rest of the season.
