03/28/13 - Shoulder surgery prevented Ohio Stateís John Simon from participating in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine and at the schoolís pro day, so the defensive end held an individual workout on Monday. There were 12 teams present, with Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert the notable attendee.
Simon (6-foot-1, 257 pounds) had a variance in 40-yard dash times, ranging from 4.62 to 4.70 seconds. He had a 34-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-1 broad jump. He ran the short shuttle in 4.42 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.10 seconds.
