Draft Scout Sam Barrington News
09/16/15 - LB Sam Barrington (ankle) was placed on reserve/injured by the Packers Tuesday (Sept. 15). Barrington was listed as questionable for Sunday's opener against Chicago because of an ankle injury sustained in the preseason. He started the game but left in the second quarter after apparently aggravating the ankle problem. Barrington left the stadium after the game on crutches and wearing a walking boot.
09/16/15 - ILB Sam Barrington was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. The second-year starter aggravated an injury to his right foot in the first half of the season-opening 31-23 win at the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Third-year pro Nate Palmer will replace Barrington in the starting lineup, beginning with Green Bay's home opener Sunday night against the Seattle Seahawks.
09/14/15 - ILB Sam Barrington aggravated an ankle injury in the second quarter of the season-opening win at Chicago on Sunday and didn't return to the game. Nate Palmer filled the spot beside Clay Matthews, the natural outside linebacker who made the start on the inside.
09/09/15 - ILB Sam Barrington practiced on a limited basis Wednesday. Barrington suffered an ankle injury in practice early last week and missed the Sept. 3 preseason finale. The injury isn't believed to be serious, so Barrington should be OK to make the Week 1 start at Chicago on Sunday.
09/06/15 - ILB Sam Barrington didn't play the preseason finale Thursday after he dropped out of practice two days earlier with an ankle injury. It's unknown whether Barrington will need to miss any more on-field time this week that could impact the incumbent starter's availability for the season opener at Chicago on Sunday.
