03/16/13 - 2013 Northern Illinois Pro Day: Perez Ashford, WR (5-foot-10, 188 pounds) - Ashford ran the 40-yard dash in 4.50 and 4.58 seconds, had a 4.29-second time in the short shuttle and a 7.11-second three-cone drill. He had a 35 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-3 broad jump. He performed 16 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
03/11/13 - 2013 Northern Illinois Pro Day: Moore, who led the Huskies with 75 catches for 1,083 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2012, is considered the better player, though his workout wasn't quite as impressive as the faster Ashford. Moore was timed twice in the mid 4.5s and posted a 35-inch vertical. Ashford, on the other hand, ran the 40-yard dash three times with an average of 4.48 and had a 35.5-inch vertical. He appeared poised to enjoy a big senior season after a breakout junior campaign during which he earned second team All-MAC honors but was hampered by an ankle injury which limited him to just 34 catches for 373 yards and one touchdown.
While Moore was a touch slower in drills, he showed the quickness in and out of his breaks during positional drills that helped him be so productive in 2012 and makes him the more likely of the two to be selected. Ashford has the fact that he's an experienced punt returner going for him, however, and is likely to at least get opportunities as a free agent. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
