The senior completed 35-of-50 passes for 337 yards and six touchdowns to move into second all-time in the Southland Conference's completition's list with 866 in his career.
The native of Whitehouse, Texas (Whitehouse HS), passed Central Arkansas quarterback Nathan Brown (856) and now sits only behind SFA's 2010 Walter Payton Award winner Jeremy Moses. 10/19/13 - Brady Attaway threw six touchdown passes for Stephen F Austin in a 55-41 victory over Nicholls State Saturday. After being tied at 14 entering the second quarter, Attaway threw four touchdown passes to give Stephen F Austin a 42-21 lead at the half. He threw one more touchdown midway through the fourth quarter, ending the game 35 of 50 for 337 yards. Joshawa West had a game-high 175 yards rushing for the Lumberjacks (3-4, 1-1 Southland).
Quarterback Tuskani Figaro responded to Attaway's second quarter rally with two rushing touchdowns in the third, cutting the deficit to 42-35 for Nicholls State (4-3, 1-1). The Colonels ended the game with four rushing touchdowns, despite the loss of Senior running back Marcus Washington after a knee injury in last week's game against Northwestern State. Austin, QB, Sr. 6-1, 215, Whitehouse, Texas,...It would be hard not to give at least a portion of the spotlight to Attaway after his absolutely ridiculous performance against Prairie View A&M Saturday night. Attaway set single-game highs for the 2013 season as if they were nothing in the contest. His 662 passing yards and 655 all-purpose yards are single-game bests this season. He completed 44-of-66 passes (44 completions is a single-game high) and added four touchdowns with just one interception. Three of his receivers went over 100 yards. Although the Lumberjacks defense couldn't stop the Panthers' offense for a win, losing, 56-48, Attaway's performance was too impressive to ignore. - The Sports Network
09/21/13 - Brady Attaway passed for 392 yards and two touchdowns to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 52-38 victory over Montana State on Saturday night. Attaway was 34-of-56 passing, hitting Mike Brooks and DJ Ward for a pair of Lumberjack touchdowns. Gus Johnson added to the team's potent offense, rushing 26 times for 157 yards and three touchdowns.
The Lumberjacks' (2-2) defense intercepted Montana State's Jake Belskin four times. Bleskin threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns. The Bobcats (2-2) took the lead once during the game early in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard touchdown run by Cody Cook. Cook then caught a Bleskin pass for the 2-point conversion, giving Montana State a 38-31 lead. Three Lumberjack touchdowns followed, including a 25-yard interception return of a Bleskin pass by linebacker Ortavious Hypolite in the final seconds. - AP Sports
