 Draft Scout Justin Britt News
05/12/14 - Britt, a somewhat surprise pick in that he was generally regarded as a late-rounder, was brought in to compete with Michael Bowie at right tackle, where the Seahawks lost Breno Giacomini in free agency. "He's another really tough kid,'' Carroll said. "He's got a really good attitude. I love his mentality for playing the position. Tom (offensive line coach Tom Cable) probably told you that we want to give him a shot at right tackle and let the competition just play it out. He's got all of the qualities of a big long, strong tough guy. He's 325 pounds. He's going to fit in just right. This will just come down to opportunity, and he's going to get it, and we'll see how it works out. It'll make Michael Bowie stretch it and that's the whole idea and it will certainly help us." - The Sports Xchange
05/12/14 - A closer look at the Seahawks' picks: Round 2/64 -- Justin Britt, T, 6-5, 325, Missouri...Played left tackle for the Tigers but is expected to start at right tackle for the Seahawks, where he should compete with Michael Bowie for a starting spot in 2014 to replace the departed Breno Giacomini. - The Sports Xchange
01/13/14 - 2014 SHRINE GAME: TOP-10 PROSPECTS TO WATCH: 10. OT Justin Britt, Missouri (6-6, 315, 5.28, #68)...After his junior season was ended by an ACL injury, Britt returned to the field and started all 14 games at left tackle for Missouri in 2013. He has a wide base with good bend and flexibility in his kickslide to protect the edge and keep the pocket clean. Britt isn't the strongest, but his shuffle and smarts are NFL quality. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
