12/01/13 - Kolton Browning threw two touchdown passes and Louisiana-Monroe held on to defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 31-28 Saturday night. Browning hit Rashon Ceaser with a 16-yard touchdown pass, then connected with Ajalen Holley for a two-point conversion to give Louisiana-Monroe (6-6, 4-3 Sun Belt Conference) a 28-21 lead. Justin Maton kicked a 28-yard field goal to cap the scoring for ULM. Holley also caught a 29-yard touchdown from Browning in the first quarter.
Brooks Haack threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Jamal Robinson to bring Louisiana-Lafayette within three with 53 seconds remaining, yet the Rajin' Cajuns did not recover the ensuing onside kick. Terrance Broadway, the Rajin' Cajuns starting quarterback, accounted for two touchdowns, but threw three interceptions on three consecutive drives. Two were thrown in the ULM end zone. Despite the loss, Louisiana-Lafayette (8-3, 5-1) will at least share the conference title because of Arkansas State's 34-31 loss to Western Kentucky. - AP Sports
10/31/13 - Kolton Browning threw for 354 yards and five touchdowns and ran for a score to help Louisiana-Monroe beat Troy 49-37 on Thursday night. Browning completed 21 of 31 passes for the Warhawks (5-4, 3-1 Sun Belt). He threw two touchdown passes to Ajalen Holley in the first half, a 60-yarder and a 6-yarder. In the third quarter, Browning threw a 23-yard scoring pass to Tre' Perrier, a 55-yarder to Rashon Ceaser, and scored on a 1-yard run.
Browning capped the scoring with 3:01 to go with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Perrier. Ceaser caught three passes for 105 yards, and Centarius Donald led the Warhawks in rushing with 114 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Corey Robinson completed 31 of 52 passes for 362 yards and two touchdowns for Troy (5-4, 3-2). - AP Sports
10/28/13 - WEEK 9 SUN BELT OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kolton Browning (UL-Monroe, Sr., QB)...Browning had a stellar day in his first game back from injury, throwing for 224 yards and four touchdowns on 21-of-30 passing as the Warhawks earned a 38-10 victory over Georgia State. The senior found four different receivers for scores and also added 37 yards on 11 carries on the ground. It was his first action since going down against Tulane on Sept. 28 and he wasted no time in working back into his groove as ULM’s all-time leading passer.
Browning connected with Tavarese Maye for 18 yards on just his second attempt of the night and found Rashon Ceaser in the second quarter for a game-long 34-yard connection. The senior finished his night with seven completions of 15 yards or longer, the highlight coming on a 24-yard strike to Harley Scioneaux in the back of the end zone for his final touchdown toss of the night. - Sun Belt football
10/27/13 - Kolton Browning threw for 224 yards and four touchdowns to lead Louisiana-Monroe past Georgia State, 38-10, in a Sun Belt Conference matchup Saturday night. The Warhawks (4-4, 2-1 Sun Belt) jumped to an early 14-0 lead as Browning threw a four-yard touchdown to Tony Cook and a seven-yard score to Ajalen Holley. The Panthers (0-8, 0-3) climbed back early in the second quarter when Robert Ferguson returned a Browning fumble 87 yards for a touchdown. Following a field goal, Georgia State recovered an onside kick, but Ben McLane was intercepted three plays later.
UL-Monroe capitalized with a 19-yard touchdown from Browning to Je'Ron Hamm. Centarius Donald, who finished with 126 yards on eight carries, scored from a yard out to extend the lead to 18 at intermission. Browning threw a 24-yard strike to Harley Scioneaux in the third quarter to continue the rout, keeping Georgia State winless on the season. - AP Sports
