10/23/13 - --RB Miguel Maysonet was released from the Jets' practice squad on Tuesday. Maysonet's release made room on the practice squad for Ras-I Dowling, whom the Jets signed Wednesday. Maysonet spent just a week with the Jets, who were the fifth team to employ him since May, when he signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent. Since then, Maysonet has spent training camp with the Browns and joined the practice squads of the Colts, Chargers and Jets. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game.
10/16/13 - RB Miguel Maysonet was signed to the Jets' practice squad on Tuesday. The Jets are the fifth team for whom Maysonet has "played," though he has yet to make an active roster. Maysonet, an undrafted free agent out of Stony Brook -- an FCS school on Long Island -- signed with the Eagles in May but was cut two weeks later. He spent camp with the Browns and was among their final cuts before spending time on the practice squads of the Colts and Chargers. Maysonet rushed for more than 1,900 yards as a senior last year at Stony Brook.
09/16/13 - RB Miguel Maysonet was signed to the Colts practice squad. Maysonet (5-10, 210) was originally signed by Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2013 and was waived on May 20. He was then signed by the Cleveland Browns. Maysonet was waived on Aug. 30.
08/31/13 - RB Miguel Maysonet was released on Saturday as the Cleveland Browns got down to the league-mandated 53-player roster to start the season.
04/29/13 - Eagles Add Nine Rookie Free Agents...One of the most accomplished running backs in Stony Brook history, Maysonet concluded a prolific senior season in 2012, in which he earned multiple awards including being named CFPA All-Purpose Player of the Year and Big South Offensive Player of the Year, while finishing as a runner-up for the Walter Payton Award, given annually to the most outstanding FCS player. He recorded career highs with 1,964 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground, while also averaging 25.8 yards on kickoff returns, which included a career long 75-yard return for a touchdown. Maysonet played in 37 career games (24 starts) for the Seawolves, amassing 4,725 yards on 695 carries (6.8 ypc) and 48 touchdowns.
