Draft Scout Snapshot: A closer look at the Browns' picks: Round 3/68 - Leon McFadden, CB, 5-10, 193, San Diego State...McFadden can play corner or nickel. The Browns need a player at both positions. He was a four-year starter for the Aztecs and led his team with three interceptions last year. He returned two for touchdowns. QUOTES TO NOTE: "I believe my ball skills are very good, my man-to-man coverage, I became a lot more aggressive in the last couple years. My IQ for football, studying my opponent is really big for me." - Browns third-round draft pick, cornerback Leon McFadden. - The Sports Xchange

04/28/13 - A closer look at the Browns' picks: Round 3/68 - Leon McFadden, CB, 5-10, 193, San Diego State...McFadden can play corner or nickel. The Browns need a player at both positions. 03/28/13 - 2013 San Diego State Pro Day: San Diego State and Hawaii held their pro days together in San Diego on March 19. Workouts were held outdoors on FieldTurf. All 32 NFL teams were present, including defensive back coaches from San Diego and tight end coaches from Cincinnati, Philadelphia and San Diego. Leon McFadden, CB (5-11, 192) - McFadden had a 34 1/2-inch vertical and did positional drills. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
03/24/13 - 2013 San Diego State Pro Day: Some of the scouts on hand for Wednesday's workout at Fresno State had traveled from San Diego State's campus a day earlier where a number of former Aztecs and 10 former Hawaii Warriors had worked out. While the most well-known defensive back at the workout was SDSU's all-conference pick Leon McFadden, the Senior Bowl standout largely stood on his numbers from the combine, though he did register a 34.5-inch vertical jump. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
12/14/12 - 2012 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FIRST-TEAM (COACHES & MEDIA): DB Leon McFadden, Sr., San Diego State, has been selected First Team All-Mountain West Conference (Coaches & Media selection) for the 2012 college football season. McFadden became the fifth San Diego State player in school history to earn first-team all-conference accolades in three consecutive seasons and the first since Kirk Morrison from 2002-04. McFadden, who has played in every game since arriving on campus as a true freshman in 2009 and is tied for the most pass breakups in program history, has set career highs this year in tackles (59), solo stops (45), interceptions (3) and forced fumbles (1), while adding 10 PBUs and two interceptions returned for a touchdown. - San Diego State football
10/23/12 - Week 8 Rewind: McFadden, a two-time All-MWC honoree, possesses the athleticism and ball skills (eight career interceptions) to earn an invitation to a prominent senior all-star game and is expected to test well in post-season workouts. Taking his production, consistency and the relative dearth of high-ranking talent at the position this year, McFadden could surprise as a top 100 prospect this year -- just as former Aztec stars Ronnie Hillman (Denver Broncos) and Vincent Brown (San Diego Chargers) did in each of the past two NFL drafts. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
