 Draft Scout Weston Richburg News
01/25/14 - 2014 Senior Bowl, Helped Themselves: Weston Richburg, OC, Colorado State - Arkansas' Travis Swanson entered the week as the nation's top center prospect but an impressive showing by another CSU Ram has his stock rising quickly. Richburg showed the anchor to handle powerful bull-rushers, as well as impressive agility in getting to the second level. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
12/18/13 - 2013 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FIRST TEAM (COACHES/MEDIA): OL Weston Richburg, Sr., Colorado State,...For Richburg it was the third All-Mountain West honor in a row and his first time earning first-team status after an honorable mention nod in 2012 and second-team in 2011. Richburg, who has graded above 90-percent in all 13 games while recording 45 knockdown blocks, is the 18th Ram to earn three or more all-conference honors. The senior from Bushland, Texas, has started in a CSU-record 49 consecutive games. - Colorado State football
09/12/13 - The Rams spent extra time during the offseason working on the triple option because it's used by three opponents - Cal Poly, Air Force and New Mexico. Air Force rushed for 459 yards against the Rams last year. The Rams get their first taste of the triple option against Cal Poly, a team that beat Wyoming last year. GAME PREVIEW: vs. Cal Poly, Saturday. The Rams are 0-2 after two difficult losses, to rival Colorado and Tulsa. Both games were winnable in the fourth quarter. They'll need to bounce back emotionally against Cal Poly, one of the top FCS programs in the country. - The Sports Xchange
07/22/13 - 2013 PRESEASON ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FIRST TEAM (MEDIA): OL Weston Richburg, Sr., Colorado State...The preseason All-MW nod marks the fourth such honor of the offseason for Richburg, who has already been named to watch lists for the Rimington Trophy, Outland Trophy and Rotary Lombardi Award. A native of Bushland, Texas, Richburg helped revitalize a CSU offensive line that started the 2012 season with both injuries and inexperience. Richburg and company paved the way for the Rams running game, leading to an increase in rushing yardage per game from 99.7 in the team's first seven contests to just under 170 yards per game in the Rams' final five contests.

Richburg, who graduated this summer with his degree in Animal Science, has played in every game of his Colorado State career (36) and led the offensive line unit in knockdown blocks in 2012. Richburg was a second-team All-MW honoree as a sophomore in 2011, while earning honorable mention all-conference nods in both 2010 and 2012. - Colorado State football

07/17/13 - 2013 RIMINGTON TROPHY WATCH LIST: Weston Richburg, Colorado State...Richburg (6-4, 300 lbs.), who has started all 36 games of his career for Colorado State, was a second-team All-Mountain West selection in 2011, and received honorable mention All-MW in 2010 and '12. He enters his senior season as one of just 24 players in the nation with 36 or more career starts under his belt. Richburg has the third-most career starts of any center in NCAA Division I behind Utah State's Tyler Larsen (38) and Arkansas' Travis Swanson (38).

A team captain, Richburg anchored an offensive line that saw five different starting combinations a year ago, but steadily improved as the season progressed, helping the Rams to three victories in their final five games. The Rams averaged 169.6 rushing yards per game over the last five contests of 2012, up from 99.7 the first seven games, and reduced their sacks allowed to 1.0 per game over the final five games--including just two in the final three games combined--after surrendering an average 3.6 the first five games. Richburg was a game captain at Colorado (9/1). - Colorado State football
