03/16/13 - 2013 Arizona State Pro Day: Arizona State held its pro day Friday, opting to go on field turf in its indoor facility because of rain and lightning outside. Representatives from 14 NFL teams were present. 01/13/13 - Two Sun Devil seniors will represent Arizona State once more in the collegiate careers as standouts Josh Hubner and Keelan Johnson have each accepted invitations to take part in the to 88th East-West Shrine Game. The annual postseason college football all-star game will be held January 19, 2013 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., kicking off at 4 p.m. EST and televised live on NFL Network.
Hubner finished the season second in the nation and first in the conference with 47.1 yards per punt, earning the school's single-season record (46+ attempts). An All-Pac-12 second-team honoree, he had 19 punts pinned inside the 20 this season and led the conference with 20 punts of 50 or more yards. He had 5,013 career punting yards for an average of 44.0 yards per kick, which is second all-time in school history.
Hubner, who is just the second punter in school history to be named a Ray Guy Award semifinalist, also earned All-America honors from both Sports Illustrated and Lindy's, as well as second team All-Pac-12 recognition from Phil Steele. He was named the Babe Alex Demon Special Teams MVP at the team's Award Banquet on Dec. 8. - Arizona State football
12/29/12 - Scouting the Arizona State special teams: ASU's Josh Hubner is one of the best in the nation, averaging 47.1 yards per attempt with 20 of his 52 boots downed inside the 20. The Devils switched field-goal kickers at midseason, going with walk-on Jon Mora, who is 9 of 12 although his long make is only 39 yards. ASU isn't likely to try a long field goal. ASU can do some damage with receivers Rashad Ross and Jamal Miles returning kickoffs. - The Sports Xchange
12/14/12 - Arizona State University punter Josh Hubner has accepted an invitation to play in the 88th East-West Shrine Game, which will be held on Jan. 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The NFL Network will televise the game, with kickoff slated for 2 p.m. MT. Hubner will also compete in the Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game, held in Tucson, Ariz., at Kino Stadium. It will be carried nationally on ESPN3.
