 Draft Scout Jeff Tuel News
04/30/13 - Bills agree to terms with 16 Undrafteds...QB Jeff Tuel - 6’3” 218 - Washington St.,...Appeared in 31 games making 26 starts. Tuel was 531-of-865 passing for 5,936 yards and 33 touchdowns in his career. Finished first in school history in completion percentage (61.4%) , fifth in completions, sixth in passing attempts, seventh in passing yards, seventh in passing touchdowns and seventh in total offense. “Really good size, really strong arm and you notice that when you watch him on the practice field,” said Forsyth. “He stands out as a pure thrower. A deceptively good athlete, he has good quickness and feet. He runs well and he’s a tough kid that’s competitive. He’s had to battle through some injuries, but he has a chance. He just needs some time to develop and get some experience. A smart kid too.” - Chris Brown, BuffaloBills.com
04/17/13 - 2013 NFL DRAFT: 124 FBS PROGRAMS, 124 POSSIBLE UNDRAFTED ROOKIE FREE AGENTS: WASHINGTON STATE: QB Jeff Tuel (6-3, 218, 4.60)...A better athlete than expected, Tuel's accuracy and mechanics leave a lot to be desired, but he has the size, arm strength and confidence to get a cup of coffee in the NFL. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
03/16/13 - 2013 Washington State Pro Day: Representatives from 10 NFL teams gathered at Washington State’s pro day on March 7, where nine players participated in a workout that was held indoors on FieldTurf. Washington State QB Jeff Tuel earns extended looks...Jeff Tuel, QB (6-3, 218) - Tuel ran the 40 in 4.60 and 4.65 seconds. He had a 4.12-second short shuttle and a 6.90-second three-cone drill. He had a 32-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-3 broad jump. Tuel had a great pro day, and I suspect that he will have a strong showing when he has a workout with the New England Patriots on March 22. Tuel will be joined by receiver Marquess Wilson - who was at the combine - at that workout, which will be held at the University of Idaho. Tuel also has a two-day visit with the Buffalo Bills set up for April 8-9. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
03/07/13 - 2013 Eastern Washington Pro Day: Eastern Washington's pro day held surprise after surprise. Former Washington State wide receiver Marquess Wilson and quarterback Jeff Tuel were planning on participating with the Eagles' players, but NFL rules forbid larger-school athletes to partake in pro day at smaller schools. Another twist came as the athletes wrapped up the 40-yard dash at Roos Field, when hail started to come down in droves. Lightning and thunder soon accompanied the downpour. After more agility drills were completed in the weight room, the athletes moved to an indoor facility to complete routes and throwing drills. Before they could begin, though, the lights went out.

Eventually, the players returned to Roos Field so quarterback Kyle Padron could complete a few throws on the hail-covered field turf to stationary receivers. With the potential for injury on a slick surface, receivers Brandon Kaufman, Greg Herd and Nicholas Edwards did not run full speed.

Defensive lineman Jerry Ceja and offensive lineman Will Post also participated on Wednesday. Linebacker Zach Johnson was measured for height and weight, but did not partake in any drills due to offseason shoulder surgery. - Josh Liebeskind, KHQ TV6 News

02/27/13 - Jeff Tuel is calling an audible and splitting the seam. After impressive performances at a pair of all-star games and stellar individual workouts that further raised his profile among NFL scouts, ol’ No. 10 for the Cougs has decided to change up the standard campus Pro Day routine. To maintain his momentum, he’s going to divide his work between two campuses over two days. Tuel plans to work out for NFL teams at WSU’s Pro Day on March 7, and at Eastern Washington University’s the day before, on March 6. “I’m going to throw at EWU because they have four receivers there including Marquess (Wilson),” Tuel told CF.C on Saturday. “They have a lot of bodies to throw to.” - Joe Doyle, Cougfan.com
