 Draft Scout Albert Wilson News
06/06/14 - WR Albert Wilson, an undrafted free agent, is catching the eye of the coaching staff. The 5-foot-9, 200-pound native of Port St. Lucie, Fla., produced 6,255 all-purpose yards in 42 college games, along with 26 touchdowns. As a receiver, runner and returner, he averaged 17.5 yards every time he touched the ball. "We were surprised that he wasn't drafted because the kid can run," said Chiefs assistant head coach and wide receivers coach David Culley. "I remember him specifically running well at the (NFL) Combine (timed at 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash.) He came from Georgia State and it was a new program there and he did a great job against the competition that he had and he had a bunch of big plays. He's come in here and he's kind of caught our eye."
05/13/14 - Chiefs signs six rookie free agents: WR Albert Wilson - Georgia State (42 games in four years, 2010-2013)...175 receptions for 3,190 yards (18.2 avg) and 23 TDs...47 rushes for 331 yards (7.0 avg) and one TD. - Reid Ferrin, KCChiefs.com
05/07/14 - 2014 NFL Draft: 126 FBS programs, 126 possible UDFAs: GEORGIA STATE: WR Albert Wilson (5-9, 200, 4.43)...Wilson was the star at Georgia State in recent years, proving to be both a reliable and playmaking threat, and showed off his athleticism with impressive numbers at the NFL Combine. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
12/23/13 - 2013 ALL-SUN BELT FIRST TEAM (COACHES/MEDIA): Albert Wilson (Georgia State, Sr. WR),...Wilson, a senior from Port St. Lucie, Fla., is easily the most accomplished player of Georgia Stateís first four seasons of football. In 2013, he led the Sun Belt in receiving yards (98.1 per game) while ranking second in receptions (5.9). He set GSU season records with 71 catches for 1,177 yards and eight touchdowns, along with 2,283 all-purpose yards, breaking his own record in each category. He averaged 23.5 yards on kickoff returns and was the Panthersí third-leading rusher. - Georgia State football
12/23/13 - 2013 ALL-SUN BELT SECOND TEAM (COACHES/MEDIA): Albert Wilson (Georgia State, Sr. All-Purpose),...Wilsonís average of 190.2 all-purpose yards per game is the second highest-figure in the FBS, behind Antonio Andrews of Western Kentucky, but GSU is not eligible for official NCAA season rankings because of its reclassification. Wilson finishes his tenure in a Georgia State uniform with the schoolís career records for receptions (175), receiving yards (3,190), yards per catch (18.2), touchdown receptions (23), 100-yard games (13), kickoff returns (95), kickoff return yards (2,338), kickoff returns for touchdowns (2), punt returns (41), punt return yards (376), all-purpose yards (6,235) and touchdowns scored (26).

His total of 6,235 yards of rushing, receiving and returns ranks among the Top 30 in NCAA history. He has been involved in six of the seven longest plays from scrimmage in school history, including both the longest pass (93 yards) and longest run (80 yards). He also has the longest kickoff return (100) and longest punt return (62) in Panther annals, totalling 21 plays of 50 yards or longer in his career. - Georgia State football
