Draft Scout Albert Wilson News
12/04/16 - WR Albert Wilson, who played in college at the Georgia Dome for Georgia State, raced 55 yards with a short direct snap on the fake punt Sunday at Atlanta. Wilson's TD on a fourth-and-1 fake punt came early in the third quarter.
08/04/16 - WR Albert Wilson has been limited in practice this week with a strained calf muscle. Coach Andy Reid indicated that Wilson's injury is not considered serious and he should return to practice soon. Wilson has been running with the No. 1 offense.
08/02/16 - WR Albert Wilson (calf) left practice on Tuesday morning after suffering a calf injury. Wilson did not return. Replacing him with the No. 1 offense at the slot receiver position was veteran Rod Streater.
06/15/16 - WR Albert Wilson entered the NFL three years ago as an undrafted rookie out of Georgia State. As he prepares for his third season with the Chiefs, Wilson will begin training camp as the starting receiver opposite Jeremy Maclin in the Kansas City offense. But his biggest moment of the year has already happened.
Earlier in the offseason, Wilson bought a home for his parents in his native Florida, moving them about 30 minutes south from Ft Pierce to Port St. Lucie. "It is something that I've been working on since my rookie year," Wilson said. "Just to move them out of the neighborhood they were in, it's something I always dreamed of while growing up there in the house. It's just something every kid that gets to this stage wants to do it for their parents." Wilson does not own a home himself; he still lives in an apartment in Kansas City. "My Mom was the first goal that I had," Wilson said. "I'm good where I'm at now and I'm pretty much saving on that end."
12/28/15 - WR Albert Wilson (shin) left Sunday's game against Cleveland with a shin contusion and did not return. Wilson is the third leading receiver on the Chiefs roster with 32 catches for 427 yards and two touchdowns. He's not expected to miss any significant practice time.
