Draft Scout Snapshot: DS Rating on 01/12/11: #2 Junior QB Projected: Round(s) 1 for 2012 NFL Draft
2010: Gabbert won 18 games in his two years as the starting quarterback for Mizzou, including 10 wins in 2010, which represented only the fourth 10-win season in 120 years of MU football history. Gabbert threw for 3,186 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2010, while running for 232 yards and five more scores. In 31 career games at Mizzou, Gabbert threw for 6,822 yards, which is fourth-most in MU annals, while his 40 career touchdown passes ranks as third-best in school history. His career pass efficiency rating of 132.59 is also the second-highest in Mizzou history...2009: Was named 2nd-Team All-Big 12 honors by multiple league media outlets, as well as earning honorable mention all-league honors from the Associated Press after ranking 2nd in the Big 12 (29th in the NCAA) in passing efficiency (140.45 rating), while raking 4th in the Big 12 and 11th in the NCAA in total offense (292.08 avg.) ... Also an outstanding student, who was named a 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 selection for his efforts in the classroom ... Won the team's Offensive Back of the Year Award, after helping guide Mizzou to eight wins on the season ... Ended the year by completing 262-of-445 passes for 3,593 yards (the 3rd-highest single season passing total in MU history) and 24 touchdowns, to go with 9 interceptions ... Also rushed for 204 yards and 3 touchdowns, and showed his willingness to play through pain when he suffered a severely sprained ankle against Nebraska, but never missed a snap other than in mop-up time the rest of the season ... 2008: Came in and quickly established himself on the depth chart, and earned playing time as a true freshman signal caller ... Saw action in 5 games in reserve duty, and showed good promise in his limited time behind center ... Led the Tiger offense to a touchdown against Colorado and a field goal against Nevada, and his final numbers included 5-of-13 passing for 43 yards, to go with 6 rushes for 22 yards.
