*Corey Coleman TSX Player News Log
11/20/17 - WR Corey Coleman started at wide receiver for the Browns after missing seven games with a broken hand. He caught six passes for 80 yards.
11/17/17 - WR Corey Coleman was activated from injured reserve Thursday and is expected to play Sunday against the Jaguars. Coleman has been sidelined since breaking a bone in his hand in a 24-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 17. The former first-round pick was placed on injured reserve but later was designated to return by the Browns (0-9). "I do not want anyone to think that Corey is back so here comes the savior of the team, but here comes back one of our better players that we have not had in a while," head coach Hue Jackson said. "We have to get the chemistry back, get to playing and see where he is, but I expect good things from Corey this weekend." Coleman has encountered obstacles since being selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2016 draft. He suffered a different broken bone in his hand during his rookie season and finished with 33 receptions and three touchdowns. "It is tough (being injured), but you can't do anything about it," the 23-year-old Coleman said. "Moving past it, and I'm just excited to get back on the field where I can help us try to get a win. "One of my jobs -- I look at myself as a leader -- is keeping the guys going and keeping them confident. I felt like I had done a good job and I'm proud of the guys who stepped in and are giving it their all and trying to make a big impact to help us win." Coleman has six receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown this season.
11/16/17 - WR Corey Coleman will return from injured reserve for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson said. Coleman has been sidelined since breaking a bone in his hand in a 24-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 17. The former first-round pick was placed on injured reserve but later was designated to return by the Browns (0-9). Coleman has encountered obstacles since being selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2016 draft. He suffered a different broken bone in his hand during his rookie season and finished with 33 receptions and three touchdowns. Coleman reeled in six receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown this season.
11/15/17 - WR Corey Coleman is expected to be activated from Injured Reserve by the end of the week and start against the Jaguars. He hasn't played since breaking his hand in the second week of the season.
11/06/17 - WR Corey Coleman (hand) was designated to return from injured reserve. He practiced Monday and could be activated for the game with Jacksonville on Nov. 19.
11/01/17 - WR Corey Coleman (hand) is improving, but is "a couple weeks" away, head Coach Hue Jackson said. Coleman is on injured reserve, but could be designated for return.
09/20/17 - WR Corey Coleman underwent surgery to repair his broken right hand. The Browns put him on injured reserve on Tuesday. He can start practicing in six weeks and return to playing games two weeks later if the Browns decide to designate him to return.
09/18/17 - WR Corey Coleman suffered a broken right hand in the fourth quarter. He missed six games with a broken right hand last year.
09/18/17 - WR Corey Coleman underwent successful surgery on his fractured right hand Monday afternoon. He might be able to return late in the season. Coleman, who was injured Sunday the Browns' 24-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, had a metacarpal in his right hand repaired during the procedure at University Hospitals, the Browns announced. Although the team offered no timetable for his return, Cleveland.com reported that Coleman is expected to be placed on injured reserve Tuesday. He will be eligible to practice in six weeks and return to the lineup in eight weeks.
08/27/17 - WR Corey Coleman had a spectacular night against the Buccaneers. He made four catches, three of them with a high degree of difficulty. He has clearly seized the job of No. 1 receiver in his second season with the Browns.
