08/15/16 - DT Andrew Billings underwent knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus and could miss the entire season for the Bengals. Selected in the fourth round of the 2016 draft, Billings was carted off the field during a joint practice with Minnesota last week. While playing for Baylor, the 21-year-old was named Big 12 co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2015.
12/12/15 - 2015 ALL-BIG 12 FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): DL Andrew Billings, Baylor, Jr.,...Junior nose tackle Andrew Billings carded the first Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year honors in school history, and was a unanimous first-team All-Big 12 selection. He shares the Defensive Player of the Year award with Oklahoma State’s Emmanuel Ogbah. In 2015, Billings has been a dominant force in the middle of BU’s defensive line. The Waco, Texas, product started in 11 games, after missing the Iowa State game due to injury. Billings leads the Bears with 15 tackles for loss, including a team-best 5.5 sacks. He has 38 tackles with 31 of those being solo stops. Billings’ 1.27 TFL per game ranks fourth in the Big 12 and 34th in the country. 11/23/15 - NOV 23 BIG 12 CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Andrew Billings, Baylor, NT, Jr, Waco, Texas...Andrew Billings recorded three tackles, two sacks and 2.5 tackles-for-loss in Baylor’s 45-35 victory at Oklahoma State. The junior nose tackle helped limit OSU to eight rushing yards. Billings’ sacks gave him 3.5 for the season and 5.5 in his career. The first sack was a 10-yarder in the second quarter that forced OSU to punt. The second was for a 7-yard loss on second down that also led to a punt. The BU defense forced the Cowboys to punt on 9-of-10 drives, spanning from the final drive of the first quarter to the first drive of the fourth quarter. During that time, Baylor outscored OSU 28-7. - Big 12 Football
