Draft Scout Snapshot: A closer look at the Seahawks' picks: Round 3/75 - Russell Wilson, QB, 5-11, 206, Washington...Somewhat of a surprise pick by Seattle, but the team loves his skill set and leadership skills. Don't be surprised if Wilson manages to make some noise at quarterback in 2012. - The Sports Xchange

Russell Wilson TSX Player News Log
01/13/13 - QB Russell Wilson turned out to be Pete Carroll's risk-taking approach at its best. Although Wilson struggled early, he played brilliantly in the second half of the season and in the playoffs. Case in point: Wilson finished 24 of 36 for 385 yards, two touchdowns and one meaningless interception at the end of the game against Atlanta -- establishing a franchise record for passing yards in a postseason game.
01/11/13 - QB Russell Wilson is a finalist for the Vizio Top Value Performer award as someone who has performed above and beyond expectations.
01/04/13 - QB Russell Wilson was named NFC offensive rookie of the month for December by the NFL this week. Wilson helped lead the Seahawks to a 5-0 record in December, completed 74 of 113 passes (65.5 percent) for 1,067 yards and nine touchdowns. Wilson also rushed for 262 yards and four scores. His 115.2 passer rating in December was the highest of any quarterback in the league.

12/25/12 - QB Russell Wilson became just the fourth rookie quarterback to throw four touchdown passes in a game since 2008, with four against San Francisco. Others who accomplished that feat in their rookie season include Matthew Stafford, Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III.
12/14/12 - QB Russell Wilson has a 116.9 passer rating in his last five games.
12/06/12 - QB Russell Wilson was named offensive player of the week by the league for his performance against the Bears last week. Wilson matched a season high for passing yards with 293, completing 23 of 37 passes. He also threw two touchdowns, including the game-winner to Sidney Rice, a 13-yard crossing route on the final play of the game. Wilson ran for 71 yards, and finished with a 104.9 passer rating. He became the first Seattle player to win the award since Shaun Alexander in 2005. Over eight games, Wilson has thrown 15 touchdowns and just four interceptions, and has a 105.2 during that span, third-best in the league.
11/23/12 - QB Russell Wilson has a red-zone passer rating of 104.2, the fifth-best mark in the NFL.
