08/31/16 - S Cooper Taylor was one of two Giants' draft picks from past years to be among the dozen roster moves made by the team Tuesday to get to the league-mandated 75-man limit. Taylor, the team's fifth-round pick in 2013, was one of two cuts made who had NFL game experience. The other being tackle Bryon Stingily, who was placed on injured reserve.
05/23/16 - S Cooper Taylor will miss the rest of the spring OTAs and upcoming mandatory minicamp after having surgery to repair a core muscle. The oft-injured Taylor is expected to be ready for training camp, but has an uphill battle to stick around on a roster that's currently very crowded at safety.
12/30/15 - S Cooper Taylor (concussion) missed another practice Wednesday. Taylor was hurt two weeks ago.
12/28/15 - S Cooper Taylor (concussion) should be able to return to practice at least on a limited basis this week. Taylor was injured in the Giants' loss to the Panthers and did not practice at all last week.
12/23/15 - S Cooper Taylor (concussion) did not practice Wednesday as he is currently in the league's concussion protocol.
12/20/15 - S Cooper Taylor will enter the league's concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in the third quarter.
11/18/15 - S Cooper Taylor has been signed off the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Taylor was a fifth-round draft pick in 2013 who after making the 53-man roster earlier this year, was cut and then signed to the practice squad.
11/05/15 - S Cooper Taylor, who was waived by the Giants on Oct. 20, was signed by the Giants to their practice squad Wednesday (Nov. 4).
10/20/15 - S Cooper Taylor was waived by the Giants Tuesday (Oct. 20). Taylor was the Giants' fifth-round draft pick in 2013 out of Richmond. He spent chunks of his first two seasons on injured reserve with hamstring and foot problems. Finally healthy this year, Taylor began training camp as one of the starting safeties before being passed on the depth chart by rookie Landon Collins and veteran Brandon Meriweather.
09/14/15 - S Cooper Taylor was a surprise Week 1 scratch. Taylor, who worked as the starting safety alongside Landon Collins, was a healthy scratch in favor of veteran Brandon Meriweather, who got the Week 1 start.
